            Bug ID: 991
Summary: Usability: avconv command to 'delete the files' is too
damn close to 'make a video with the files'.
           Product: Libav
           Version: 11
          Hardware: X86
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: ---
         Component: utilities
          Assignee: bugzilla at libav.org
          Reporter: robertsdavidddr at gmail.com

I ran avconv -r 60 -i *.png water.mp4, expecting to get a video of my
weeks-long render of some pretty water. Instead, avconv overwrote every image
file I had with the first one, and output the last image as a one-frame mp4
video. Had I ran instead avconv -r 60 -i %04d.png water.mp4, I would now have a
rather nice video.

I figure having the two commands sitting next to each other, both quite
reasonable-looking, is a fairly gross violation of the principles of usability
and design. It is definitely a bug to me at the moment. (See
https://www.amazon.com/Design-Everyday-Things-Donald-Norman/dp/1452654123 for
more on the subject in general.)

I do recognize I should have backed up the files, but I had a moment of
absent-mindedness. Forgive me, for your software sure as heck didn't.
