There are two different orderings in play here.

The first is the order in which avconv (or rather libavformat) sees the streams
in the file. This is what the stream numbers displayed by avconv mean (e.g.
#0.3 is the fourth stream in the file). This order is preserved by avconv.

The other order is the order in which streams appear in a program, which is the
order in which they are printed in the summary. This order is disregarded by
avconv. Unfortunately changing this would require quite a bit of rewriting, so
it's not really an easy fix.
