So more than half a year and no reaction.

I just wanted to confirm this issue, using a freshly compiled version from git.

I'm trying to encode some DVDs and memory went through the roof as soon as I
tried using -ss
Command line:
/usr/local/bin/avconv -i vobcopy-1.vob -ss 2531.0 -t 2517.0 -map 0:v -map 0:2
-map 0:1 -c:v libx264 -preset slow -tune film -crf 22.5 -c:a libmp3lame -q:a 7
-ac 2 'encoded-3.mkv'

Output stuck for minutes at
frame=    0 fps=  0 q=0.0 size=       1kB time=10000000000.00 bitrate=
0.0kbits/s
while memory kept slowly increasing, swapping started, etc.

Removing -ss "fixes" the problem. Can anyone else confirm? Will try ffmpeg and
report back... This makes avconv unusable, I only have 4gigs.
