I tested the same video file using ffmpeg, version 2.4.1, downloaded from
ffmpeg site, and configured using "./configure && make"

it seems it is working perfectly .... 
I retested with avconv, to be sure, and the problem is still present on the
same file.
I tried several other videos from my xPhone, only one is failing.
