            Bug ID: 782
           Summary: Rewriting files without duration
           Product: Libav
           Version: git HEAD
          Hardware: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: ---
         Component: utilities
          Assignee: bugzilla at libav.org
          Reporter: anadius at gmail.com

input file downloaded with mimms

I downloaded 1 minute stream using mimms. avprobe gives me
[asf @ 0x1d3c200] max_analyze_duration reached
[asf @ 0x1d3c200] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate
...
Duration: 00:00:59.55, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 99 kb/s

After rewriting it to new file
avconv - input.asf -c:a copy output.asf

avprobe gives me
Duration: 517:33:33.62, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 0 kb/s

Both files open strangely in VLC (first has 0 duration but starts in 500+hr,
second as first but with huge duration) and both work fine in audacity (real
duration).

Is there any way to make avconv write proper duration?
