The problem is that your input video has a rather unusual timebase 1/44100 and
avconv in 0.8 decides that you want your output video to have framerate that is
the reverse of that, i.e. 44100fps. So it starts duplicating a LOT of frames.

The issue should be fixed in master and the upcoming release, but the fix is
unfortunately too large and invasive to be safely backported into 0.8.

So possible solutions are:
1) use git master
2) force output framerate to something saner with the -r option
3) force vfr output with -vsync 0
